My very first Womens Tournament was Eastbourne 1978, and to those who know the early years there, know how someone can get ' hooked'.....This was followed up by my first foriegn tournament in Kitzbuhel, Austria.

My Favourite Tournaments.
It has to be Amelia Island, as you have a balance of Tennis, and a lovely vacation spot..those beautiful beaches, quiet Fernandina Town,luxury surroundings, and of course 'The Bugs' (Noseemem's).. It was always nice to go to Hilton Head before, with Harbour Town, and the Islands many varied good restuarants and shops.

Other Special Tournaments.
There is a special page on the Barcelona Olympics, but also the Virginia Slim Championships in 1988 was a great experience..Claudia and Manuela there..
The French Open is also a wonderful tournament, and in 2001, it will be my 20th consecutive visit,now that says it all. The early years of Eastbourne were wonderful,it is still a good social event.Lugano was a beautiful tournament,situated on the lake..I have seen some fantastic places thanks to Tennis and the Girls.

I have also visited Berlin,Rome,Perugia,Bayonne,
Zurich,Sofia,Hamburg,Loosdrecht,New York, Prague,Luxembourg,as well as those already mentioned and many others to make over 200...
